I believe that bowls have many myths because very little real research exists to test out common beliefs (e.g. after driving it becomes more difficult to draw well). From my discussions, many Players believe such myths and become somewhat upset if you challenge them. My recording of bowls over ten years allows me to check on some myths. However it takes time and no one else rates as silly enough to care – or do work to find out! Thus - do you believe that most (say 90%) of drives finish narrow – if they miss a target.
