Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts?

No. You can not use HTML tags in any field except the history part of the entry. The maintainer of the script has the option of allowing or disallowing any HTML in the entry. If they disallow it, the script will just throw out everything in <>'s. If they allow it, your html markup will appear in the posting. It can't hurt to try.

Note: This Personal Record Book does allow tags. A URL which is related to the subject in hand may be entered in the history area. Please do not use any further image URL's.

How can I put a picture on my page?.

In order to put a picture on your page you must have a picture on a Server somewhere.
Please respect other users by keeping your image small. (Size about 1.5 x 1.5 cms. This is about 177x177 pixels at 300dots per inch)
Larger images take time to download and people will not want to wait to read your page.
You can ask your access supplier if you can have one put on their site, or you can send us a photo, or a 'gif' file on floppy disk and we will put it on our server for you. This special service costs just £5. to cover the cost of diverting staff to do this for you. Please send the payment with your photo or disk and a self addressed stamped envelope so we can return any items you send unharmed.
Then you must change your record and put in the http:// location for it in the last box on the form (where it says 'Optional Picture URL'). It is nice for people to be able to see what you look like, or where you live for instance, but you can enter your history text without it if you wish. Please use your [BACK] button to return if you were just in the process of adding a record.

Where can I get the scripts for this program?

The original scripts are written in Perl and created by Matt Wright. They are free to anyone who wishes to use them and you can get them as well as other scripts at: http://worldwidemart.com/scripts/ Please note that our board has been changed and bears little resemblance to Matt's script which 'gave birth' to it.

Note: Our thanks to Matt Wright. His site is an interesting one to explore even if you don't need scripts.
